OUMA BETS GEBAK – TERMS & CONDITIONS
Welcome to Ouma Bets Gebak! By accessing or purchasing from our website, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. General
These terms govern the use of Ouma Bets Gebak online bakery, where we bake and ship cookies and other baked goods across South Africa.
By placing an order on our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
Ouma Bets Gebak holds a Certificate of Acceptability (COA), certifying that we are compliant with food safety regulations to sell food products to the public. All prices displayed on our website are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be calculated and added at checkout.
2. Product Information
Our products are freshly baked and made to order. Please note that slight variations in appearance and size may occur as they are handmade.
Allergen information is provided on request, but our kitchen processes common allergens, including nuts, gluten, dairy, and eggs. We cannot guarantee that products are free from traces of these allergens.
3. Order Processing
Please allow 2-4 business days for us to process your order.
We ship our items from Monday to Wednesday. Orders placed after 10:00 AM on Wednesday will be shipped the following Monday to prevent your baked goods from sitting in the courier warehouse over the weekend.
Orders are subject to availability. In the event that we cannot fulfill your order, we will notify you as soon as possible.
4. Shipping and Delivery
We ship across South Africa using The Courier Guy services.
Standard delivery times are 3-5 business days after your order has been processed.
Standard Door Delivery: Delivered to the address provided. Please ensure the address is correct, as we will not be responsible for incorrect addresses or missed deliveries due to incorrect information.
If a delivery fails due to incorrect address information or unavailability, and the package is returned to us, you will be responsible for the courier fee again, plus an additional R100 admin fee.
5. Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not offer refunds or returns.
If you receive a defective product, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic proof and your order details (including date of purchase). We will assess the situation and decide the appropriate action.
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for products that are damaged after leaving our premises, or for items delayed by the courier.
6. Payment
All payments must be made in full at the time of ordering.
All prices on our website are displayed exclusive of VAT, which is calculated and added at checkout.
We accept the following payment methods: Payments through Yoco and Payflex, Direct EFT's.
7. Limitation of Liability
We will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, arising from your use of our services or any issues relating to your order.
8. Amendments
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review them regularly.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes or claims arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with South African law.
