Ingredients & Allergen Information

At Ouma Bets Gebak, we take pride in using high-quality ingredients to create our signature cookies. However, we understand the importance of allergen awareness and want to ensure you have all the necessary information before indulging.

COOKIE CARE GUIDE:

  1. Store in a cool, dry place, or in the fridge for longer freshness. Once opened, store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place or in the fridge. Cookies are best enjoyed fresh and should ideally not be kept until the expiry date before consuming.
  2. Cookies expire 2-3 weeks from bake date, depending on the flavour and filling used. Please refer to the small white sticker on the packaging for the bake date, expiry date, and ingredient information. Cream cheese based cookies may have a shorter shelf life and should be stored correctly at all times.
  3. Freeze for up to 6 months and bake directly from frozen at 160°C for 6-10 minutes when ready to consume. Do not microwave directly from frozen.
  4. Eat as is, or for something extra, warm in the microwave for 10-15 seconds for a soft, gooey centre. You can also heat in the oven or air fryer for a freshly baked texture.

HAZARD: Remove cookie from bag before placing in microwave, oven, or air fryer. Packaging is not heat safe.

All our products are made in a facility that processes wheat, gluten, dairy, nuts, soya, and eggs

Please note: While we take great care in our kitchen, we do use and process products that contain NUTS. As a result, cross-contamination is possible. If you have a severe nut allergy, we unfortunately do not recommend our products for your safety.

OUR LIMITED EDITION BREAKDOWN:

Our limited edition cookies change monthly and, at times, even weekly. Because of this, it is not always possible to update the ingredient lists for each flavour. If you have any questions regarding the ingredients of a specific cookie, please feel free to contact us on 061 519 4975, and we will be happy to assist.

The fillings and toppings vary with each flavor and may include:

  • Preservative, such as Potassium Sorbate
  • Flavourants

  • Various spreads, such as Nutella, Biscoff, chocolates, and products from Cadbury, Callebaut, Lindt, Nestlé, and Lotus, etc.
