At Ouma Bets Gebak, we take care to ensure your freshly baked goods are delivered in the best possible condition. Below are the details of our shipping policy:
Processing and Shipping Times
- Once processed, orders are typically delivered within 3-5 business days via our courier services.
- We ship Tuesdays and Wednesdays only! Orders placed before 10am on a Monday will be shipped out the same week (Tuesday & Wednesday), orders placed after 10:00am on a Monday will be shipped out the following week (Tuesday & Wednesday).
- Although we try our best to not let the cookies stay at the couriers over the weekends, we cannot prevent this from happening. If it does happen, your cookies will still be perfectly fine upon arrival.
- Shipping on these specific days also gives us enough time to roll, prep, bake, and package every order with care. It helps keep things stress-free on our side, so you always get your cookies at their best!
- WE OFFER FREE SHIPPING FOR ORDERS OVER R1000 - All orders over R1000 will qualify for free standard shipping (3-5 days), and will not be eligible for overnight shipping.
Delivery Services:
We offer three delivery options for your convenience:

Standard Door Delivery
Your package will be delivered directly to your doorstep, based on the address provided at checkout in 3 - 5 days. Please ensure the address is accurate, as we cannot be held responsible for incorrect addresses. -
Overnight Delivery
Your package will arrive in 1 - 2 business days after processing depending on your location. This does not include the actual lead time (baking and packaging of order). This refers only to the courier time. - POSTNET Delivery: Your package will be delivered to your chosen POSTNET branch. Lead time = 3-5 days.
Urgent Deliveries (Same Day, Weekend, or Public Holiday Delivery):

If you require Same-Day Express delivery, or if you need your order delivered on a weekend or public holiday, please contact us directly.

We are happy to assist with urgent requests, but please be aware that these services will incur additional costs. The exact cost will be determined based on the specific requirements and timing.
Important Information
- If your package cannot be delivered due to incorrect address information or your unavailability, and it is returned to us, you will be responsible for paying the courier fees again, plus an additional R100 admin fee, or possibly loosing your package.
- We are not liable for missed or late deliveries due to delays beyond our control, such as courier delays.
By placing an order with us, you acknowledge the following:

Damage During Transit: We are not responsible for any damage that occurs to your package once it is in the possession of the courier. We encourage you to inspect your package upon delivery and report any damage directly to the courier.

Incorrect Information: We are not held liable for any delays in package delivery resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer at the time of order. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all details are accurate.

Unavailability at Delivery: If you are unavailable to receive your package at the time of delivery, we cannot be held liable for any resulting delays. Please make arrangements to ensure someone is available to accept the delivery.

Courier Delivery Times: We do not control the delivery schedule of our courier services. Once you receive a notification (via email) indicating that your package has left our facility and is with the courier, please anticipate delivery within 3 to 5 business days.
